Elizabeth Edwards Gots Balls!
I was really glad to see Elizabeth Edwards call into Hardball and take on Ann Coulter for her recent comments about presidential candidate John Edwards. About 6 months ago AC called JE a "faggot" while speaking at the Conservative Political Action Committee (CPAC) convention in Washington, D.C. Then on Monday of this week AC appeared on Good Morning America and said something that should be offensive to everyone who sees it. You have to see it to believe it folks.
Now, seeing a video of someone saying that is pretty disgusting, but for the full effect of how awful her statement was, here are the words:
"If I'm gonna say anything about John Edwards in the future, I'll just wish he had been killed in a terrorist assassination plot."
Is it just me, or is AC just a really, really bad person. Now, I acknowledge that this is what she does; she says controversial things to get media coverage, to sell her books, columns, etc. But the same was true about Imus. These people are entertainers who are paid to be controversial, increase ratings, and make people money. But, remember that Imus was fired for making a racial slur. And yet no one does anything about the hateful slurs and veiled death threats of AC.
It would be appropriate for AC to lose her sponsors the way Imus did. I actually didn't think the sponsors should've pulled out on Imus, but now I understand why they did, because I have the same kind of anger and disappointment Imus' critics had.
I hope JE does raise some money, it's the only justice he and his family will get for the defamatory things AC has said.
Oh, and the conservative columnist/journalist/author George Will appears to know something about AC that no one else does. GW appearing on This Week said:
"...Less said about him the better..."
She's a man baby!

In the beginning...
Alright Chattanooga, I've been thinking a lot about my first post to my handy dandy new blog (compliments of the wonderful Chattablogs), and I've pretty much come to the conclusion that no one topic is better than any other to help me make my introduction.
So, this is going to be a rather short post, with me simply telling you that one more opinionated soul is joining the Chattanooga blogosphere. And to warn you that I often have got somethin' to say. But for those of you who know me, I assure you that my thoughts are edited (that is to say, shorter) in my writing more than they are live and in person (you can thank me later).
I'll leave the first post at that, as I'm really only writing this right now so that I can have some content to work with when I jump into the css and change the look and feel of the blog. :)
