What do Nancy Pelosi & Newt Gingrich have in common?
Alright, I've posted the rest of the unlikely alliance ads from the We campaign. I figured I ought to post the one below featuring Nancy Pelosi and Newt Gingrich sitting on a couch in front of the U.S. Capitol.
I'm really enjoying these ads featuring unlikely political pairs agreeing on this crucial issue. However, I've noticed that thus far there has not been a sitting elected Republican to appear in the ads. I wonder if this is due to Al Gore's bunch keeping them out, or their just not participating? I, of course, assume the later is more likely the answer to my question.

What do Al Sharpton and Pat Robertson have in common?
I've been anticipating the 'unlikely pair' ads by the We campaign. So, I was happy to finally see the following ad air on TV. I've also seen the version with Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and former Speaker Newt Gingrich.
These pairings were a good start. I only wish they could get Ron Littlefield and Billy Blades to appear together.

A Good Way to Spend $300 Million
Al Gore and the Alliance for Climate Protection have developed a three-year, $300 million advocacy campaign to mobilize ordinary Americans and 'influentials' to pressure for legislation addressing climate change. The we campaign, short for We Can Solve It, will employ online organizing and television advertising to spread its message. A diverse group of celebrities/influential Americans are lined up to be in the ads, including one ad where coservative evangelist Pat Robertson and long-time activist Al Sharpton will sit side-by-side. There'll also be an ad with Nancy Pelosi and Newt Gingrich.
Here's the first ad of the series, narrated by William H. Macy.
Here's from Al Gore's March 30, 2008 appearance on 60 Minutes. The clip previews a small portion of the Sharpton/Robertson ad.
